Road Trip 2017 - Day 9

Day 9 - Mon 17th July

An early start today with breakfast at the restaurant at the Red Caboose Motel - an old dining car.

We then got on the road and headed to Hershey Pennsylvania. Home to Hershey chocolate.

Hershey Kiss Lights

And more importantly Hershey Park our destination for today.  We were parked and on the tram by about 10 to 10.

And ready to go in when the park opened at 10am.
So much fun was had - except when Josh and Lexie had to line up for rides and then not go on them because they were too small or too scared.

Getting off Farenheit

So fun can I go again.
The kids had fun on their own rides.

Frontier Flyers

It rained on us a little during our ride on the classic cars

(I'm glad Josh isn't getting his drivers licence any time soon).
And we got a little thinder and lightening which closed down some of the bigger rides, but that just gave us time for some of the smaller rides.

We had pre purchesed meal vouchers before we went, but found at lunch time that we only needed two vouchers to feed the four of us, so we kept the other two and used them for dinner.

We spent 11 hours in the park finishing our day with a couple of trips around the lazy river in the water park and some time spent in the wave pool.

After a few stops at souvenir shops on our way out we headed next door to Hershey Chocolate World.  The chocolate ride was even better than Lexie remembered, and we of course had to pick up some chocolate.

It was close to 11pm before we reached our hotel - The Super 8 Harrisburg North and we all crashed.
