Road Trip 2017 - Day 4

Day 4 - Wed 12th July - Washington DC

We started off walking back to the Mall and up to the Washington Monument.

We then walked West towards the WW2 memorial











And then down along the reflecting pool.

Another Hot day - Its 8:30 and we're already sweating buckets.












Then up to the Lincoln Memorial.

We then wandered down to the Tidal Basin and the Martin Luther King Jr Memorial.

From here we headed north again, back up past the Washington Monument and around the Ellipse.





To the White House Visirot Center - we were hoping to go the day before but got there after it closed.  It had a few nice displays about the white house.




Then stopped for lunch at the food court of the Ronald Reagan Building and Internation Trade Center before heading back to the Mall.

Checking out the art sculptures - what do we think - not a lot!
 We took a quick tour of the National Air and Space Museum then headed back to the hotel past the Capitol building - everyone tired but still up for a quick dance.
