Day 17 - July 14 The Big Pineapple
Had an easy morning at Me'ls place. Josh and I went for another swim, and this time Eddie came with us. Unfortunately the waves were not cooperating today and they were getting more and more powerful so eventually we gave up and got out. Unfortunately the rest of the group had gone for a walk along the beach again and taken all the keys to Mels place with them, so we had to hang around and wait for them which got a bit cold in the wind - so we moved closer to the dunes to wait.
After showering it was time to head out for our afternoon's adventure - first a quick stop at a fast food plaza for lunch, then onto the Big Pineapple. This attraction had been closed for years, but they are doing it up and one of the things they've added is a new ropes course and we had chosen to do that today.
But first a stop at the Big Pineapple itself for the obligatory group shot.
Then it was time to do our first full course - they made you start with a green or purple route - and there was quite a line up for both of these so it took a while, but eventually we got on the course. It was actually a lot higher than the last course we did. But it was fun to watch Dad doing all the obstacles....and then listening to Mel commentate on the go pro...

Grandpa and Mel decided that those easy levels were as high as they were going, Grandpa went back to wait with Uncle Bill while Mel continued on with the lower levels and being official photographer. The rest of us moved onto the Blue and Red levels which got much harder. Here's Lexie doing one of the swinging obstacles.
Lexie and I turned back at the shortcut for the red level, while Josh continued on with the Stopics. Lexie and I went back to t he green level - and now that there was no one on these levels it was much more fun.
In the end Lexie, Josh and I did the shortened version of the Blue level, ending with the big zip line back to the starting point, while the Stopic boys moved onto the Black level courses.
It was 5pm by the time we finished up and we were all feeling the strain, so we headed back to Uncle Bills place, then down to the local club for dinner.
