We jumped off at Grand Street and finally managed to figure out where we were and where we were going and headed for Katz's Deli for an early lunch.

Above the waitresses head you can see the sign advertising the movie When Harry Met Sally.
We ordered the Reubin and the Brisket Sandwich. Oh so good.
The second stop on our tour was the Knish Bakery where we finally found out what a knish was (and no it wasn't a vermiscious knish).
We just couldn't face the Doughnut Plant - but couldn't pass the Pickle Guys.
And entire room full of barrels of pickles. You name it they pickle it.
We had to try one of course.
Then we decided we needed to walk off some of that food so we waddled down towards the river side. Under the Manhatten Bridge

We then headed back and walked up onto the Brooklyn Bridge. It has a walkway above the road way in the centre of the bridge.
There were just a few people walking across the bridge.

Who's that we can spy in the background.
We made it all the way to Brooklyn.
Got off the bridge and found somewhere for a drink - in a little suburb called Dumbo!
We then went looking for a subway station to get home. Of course the one we went looking for was closed down - we're not having much luck with subways. But at least we got a nice stroll through Brooklyn Heights.
Caught the train back to Grand Central Station.
Then headed back to our hotel. Dinner was at the Westway Diner
