Australia 2017 - Day 11 and 12

Thursday morning Lexie, Josh, Grandma and I headed down to Burrill Lake to swim in the entrance channel.  The tide was high and we had to swim over to the sandbar so no photos from this morning.

In the afternoon it got a bit cloudy, but we decided to head to the beach at Mollymook anyway.  The flags were set up in a very secluded part of the beach but the waves weren't big and there was a lot of seaweed in the water just there so it wasn't a perfect beach day, but we had fun anyway.

some chips on the beach after our surf - a must have!

When we got home from the beach we found that someone had lit a fire just near our house - as we watches about 4 fire engines and 4 police cars showed up - gave us some entertainment for the afternoon.

We had planned to do a BBQ over and open fire for dinner, but after all that we figured we'd have the firies straight back if we lit it up so had to cook our snags on the electric BBQ instead.

Dinner out the front of our beach houe

After dinner we walked down to the lake to watch the sunset - lot of black swans and Pelicans out on the lake - beautiful.

Friday morning we went shopping in Ulladulla then did was walk around the headland.  There were a bunch of carvings done around this walk commemorating the native people of the region.

This frog was one of the kids favourites
My best friend Kate arrived from Canberra in the afternoon and we all headed back down to Mollymook beach for another swim.  Weather wasn't great but we wanted to swim anyway.

The waves were pretty small today but at least there was less seaweed around where the flags were - we tried to walk around to the rockpools but the stench of the seaweed washed up from yesterday was horrible.

Dinner we came back to Mollymook to the gold club and had dinner overlooking the beach.  Unfortunately it rained the whole time, but it was still a nice view anyway.

Later that evening Melanie, Attilla, Nice, Ernie and Eddie arrived to spend the weekend so we had a full house.

All the cousins getting ready for bed.
