The view in Alma this morning was a bit different. The tide is out and all the boats that were once at dock are now sitting on the ocean floor.
The view over the bay of Fundy is quite different.
We stopped in town and bought some doughnuts from the local bakery for breakfast.
before walking out to the end of the docks.
Another drive this morning, up through the Fundy national park and then back to the coast at St Martins to see the sea caves.
We walked out to the first set of caves. Across the little river.
over the fields of seaweed.
Josh made it up to these caves, but then fell coming back down.
Again we had great luck with the tides. They were just starting to come in so we were still able to get around the headland to see the second set of caves .
We didn't spend long there however as the tide was coming in and cutting off our retreat.
Back on the main beach we explored the main caves.
Then it was time to hit the fundy trail.
Beautiful scenery.
(with great cable stairs to get down to the viewing platform).
A fun suspension bridge.
Then back to St Martins. By this time the tide had come in and the sea caves were pretty much inaccessible.
A comparison - about 1.5 hour time difference.
Cute covered bridge and lighthouse in St Martin.
We then drove on to Saint John. Our first stop here was Fallsview park to see the reversing falls. we were approaching high tide so it was really quite impressive to see the river running upstream that quickly.
Lemongrass on the wharf.

Love those sea caves!
